sorrow and bliss

life flows like a river to and fro,
unknown and known.
wind is howling, thunder roaring.
raving sound fills the air,
thickened with wild rain.
in fury and terror,
shackled the bare, withered, dying trees
destroyed homes, lost lives.
left with utter despair,
nothing left for me to spare.
these dark days cling within me,
in vain and pain.
sorrow and bliss,
sting me like a kiss.
“oh how I wish politicians would wake up and act upon, in trying times like this!”
misery and adversity, I wept, whilst I kept a curving line.
a beacon of hope transversed at night
and left each morning brighter glimpses of her stride
soft, mellow clouds singing along with rhythm
trees swaying, dancing in chorus,
I whirl and twirl in perfect harmony.
light is coming,
and with it, fresh new leaves.
